EGYPTIAN ANTIQUITIES FROM THE LOUVRE: JOURNEY TO THE AFTERLIFE
Until 1 July
Art Gallery of South Australia, North Tce, Adelaide
The Musée du Louvre is home to one of the world's largest and most outstanding collection of Egyptian Antiquities. This unprecedented exhibition features more than 200 precious objects, and presents a unique opportunity for South Australians to see the treasures of one of history's greatest civilisations.

RIVERLAND COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL & AWARDS
1-11 June
The South Australian Country Music Festival & Awards for the past 29 years has been considered the biggest and the most prestigious of its kind in the State.
The SA Sunday spectacular is a highlight with the beautiful Riverland a backdrop to the day’s entertainers. Australian country artists along with some of South Australia’s best talent will appear at around ninety shows over ten days in twenty venues, with three shows held outdoors.

ADELAIDE CABARET FESTIVAL
8-23 June
Adelaide Festival Centre, King William Rd, Adelaide
What good is sitting alone in your room? It’s certainly not an option when some of the world’s best lounge, jazz and contemporary singers are in town to entertain you. So put on your glad rags, old chum, and join the cool cats heading down to the Adelaide Festival Centre for two weeks of cocktails and cabaret. Be entertained with heart-wrenchingly beautiful melodies, comedy numbers that will have you in fits of laughter, and even the odd diversion into country and world music. Come, hear the music play!

QUORN CUP DAY 2007
9 June
A big day on Quorn’s social calendar, the race day attracts punters from all across the country to be part of this outback tradition. Food, wine and entertainment as well as action on the track create a fantastic atmosphere, and makes for a memorable experience. It's a perfect way to spend an outback weekend, so book a room, bring a caravan or pitch a tent.

RIVERLAND BALLOON FIESTA 2007
9-11 June
On the June long weekend the skies above Renmark will be transformed from their normal brilliant blue into a kaleidoscope of colour as people cheer the lift off of about 20 hot air balloons in the early morning quiet.

GLENDAMBO OUTBACK 4X4 CHALLENGE
9-11 June
The Glendambo Outback 4x4 Challenge is a test of skill and endurance for expert and amateur 4WD enthusiasts. Each year, competitors put their road-registered vehicles to the test through a series of obstacles including hill climbs, the monster mud pit and whoopty doos. There is plenty of action on and off the track - visit the market village and enjoy trackside catering and full bar facilities.

LOXTON HISTORICAL VILLAGE ALIVE DAY
10 June
Step back in time at the Loxton Historical Village Alive Day. There’ll be a number of working exhibits as well as craft stalls, food stalls, a traditional pie cart, working blacksmith, carousel and quad engine rides.

MCLAREN VALE SEA & VINES FESTIVAL
10-11 June
After a day of seafood and wine on the long weekend? Then head to the 2007 McLaren Vale Sea and Vines Festival and visit up to 24 wineries to perfectly match their wines to delicious regional seafood delights. Most wineries also offer an alternative, non-seafood, children's and vegetarian dish.

ABN AMRO MORGANS INTERNATIONAL PIANO SERIES
19 June
An intimate evening of world-class music with three pianists performing on a modern grand piano to recreate the music of years gone by.
This year's three performers are among the very greatest in the world with both Piers Lane and Nikolai Demidenko performing as well as Brazilian legend Cristina Ortiz returning to Adelaide after many years absence.

WHALE WATCHING SEASON 2007
June - October
Each year between June and October, giant Southern Right Whales return to South Australia’s waters. The best locations in South Australia for whale watching are at Head of Bight on the Eyre Peninsula and around Victor Harbor on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
