ROYAL ADELAIDE SHOW
7-15 September
Roll up for all the colour, fun and excitement of this iconic Adelaide
event. Scare yourself silly on the roller coaster, marvel at the
fireworks or make friends with a piglet at the Farmyard Nursery.
There’s live music and entertainment, old favourites like dressage
and wood chopping to enjoy in the main arena, plus a whole hall
full of showbags to delight the kids.

OYSTERFEST
28-30 September
Ceduna shows off its country hospitality during this fabulous festival.
If you go for the fine fresh seafood, you’ll want to stay for the
music, dance and parties. Kicking off with a colourful opening
celebration on Saturday morning, the Oysterfest celebrations don’t
let up until the final evening of festivities. Adults will love
the array of concerts and gourmet treats, while kids are well
catered for with story telling, hands-on workshops and
competitions.

PANASONIC WORLD SOLAR CHALLENGE
21-28 October
The World Solar Challenge is the race to the future, the ‘brain-sport’
of our time, and the fascinating story of how competitors journey
3,000km powered by nothing more than the sun. Teams and
individuals from corporations and universities all over the world
come here to design and drive their solar cars through the desert
from Darwin to Adelaide. The event celebrates achievement, courage
and the practical application of scientific knowledge in pursuit
of a safer, smarter, greener world. It’s also fun to watch.

TOUR DOWN UNDER
20-27 January 2008
The Tour Down Under attracts the world's cycling elite to South
Australia annually to battle for glory in Australia's premier
international cycling race. This action-packed race features
starts and finishes in key locations throughout Adelaide and
scenic South Australian regions. For the first time in 2008,
cycling fans will have more chances to cheer on the world's best
cyclists as the event is expanded to include two weekends of elite
cycling action. Participants in the Mutual Community Challenge
Tour on Friday 25 January 2008 can pedal the same 134-kilometre
route between Mannum and Strathalbyn as the world's elite cyclists
in Stage 4 of the Tour Down Under. And a shorter ride option of
73.5km from Woodside to Strathalbyn is also available for those
seeking a more leisurely ride.
