SOUTHERN FLEURIEU GARDEN FESTIVAL
14 October – 11 November
Various private gardens in the Victor Harbor area
Take a day out to smell the roses as you explore 15 of the Fleurieu Peninsula's most beautiful gardens. Make a gold coin donation on entry to the gardens and you will also be helping the work of the Southern Fleurieu Cancer Support Group. Call 08 8552 9304 for a program and map.

RENMARK ROSE FESTIVAL
20-28 October
Renmark town area, Renmark
Garden lovers will adore this week-long celebration of the rose, complete with themed activities, displays and demonstrations. A highlight of the festival is a beautiful display of rose and flower arrangements in the Renmark Town Hall, but there will also be a host of other Renmark gardens in full bloom for you to explore. Make sure you visit Ruston's Rose Garden, where you will find the National Rose Collection and 27 acres of roses and ornamentals. Also included in the line-up of festival activities are river trips, art exhibitions, flower arranging workshops, talks by expert gardeners, luncheons and suppers.

THE FLOWER GARDEN FARMERS MARKET

Spend a morning in a beautiful garden relaxing over a leisurely brunch or lunch. Highlights of the market include Amore Wood Fired Ovens, fresh coffee from local coffee roasters, Bird in Hand Wines, Udder Delights Cheese, Brezels breads, pastries, ripe high rise apple pies, local apples, strawberries, honey and other fine Adelaide Hills fresh seasonal produce.

PETALS IN THE PARK
10am-4pm, 20-21 October
Adelaide Botanic Garden, North Terrace, Adelaide
Petals in the Park is the funky new event incorporating the annual Rose Trials and showcasing what makes us proud to be South Australian. Entry is by gold coin donation to CanDo4Kids, and the event includes gourmet food and wine, fabulous live entertainment, kids’ shows and activities, captivating visual art, stalls with a difference, free expert rose and garden advice, plus the opportunity to vote for your favourite rose. Be sure to take a wander through the “Enchanted Garden”, where sculptures will stand among the roses and you can enjoy string quartets and even exerts from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” being performed live.
