HARRY'S RESTAURANT
The launch of two new seasonal menus at Harry’s Restaurant – the Novotel Barossa Valley Resort’s signature dining venue – is luring diners with fresh, creative and mouth-watering gastronomic experiences and a heavy emphasis on local produce. Recently launched is Harry’s new Spring Menu ‘07, along with a new Degustation menu, each reflecting the region’s finest seasonal fare. The comprehensive and diverse Spring Menu allows diners to explore the famed region’s many gastronomic delights with signature dishes such as the Taste of the Barossa Platter, Lyndoch Butchers Block and Terrarossa Beef Rib Eye on the Bone. The menu features around 30 items including 11 choices of mains and five sumptuous desserts, and makes use of a vast array of local produce from smoked salmon to rabbit, duck, egg noodles, olives, breads, cheeses and more. Choosing dessert isn’t easy, with enticing offerings such as Apple & Cinnamon Bread & Butter Pudding; Chilled Lime Souffle; and Vanilla, Prune & Armagnac Tart. Meanwhile, the lip-smacking Degustation offers a specially selected journey through the tantalising flavours and unique nuances of Barossa cuisine – diners will be impressed by the Shredded local Duck on a Pear, Rocket & Witlof Salad and the Roasted Barossa Chicken with Grapes and Maggie’s Verjuice or the Tea Infused Roasted Lamb Rack on an Artichoke Rosti. Of course, the menu has been completely wine-matched from entrée through to cheese.

BAROSSA EPICUREAN TOURS
Barossa Epicurean Tours are offering visitors a day of gastronomic Barossa food and wine indulgences, with their new Barossa Epicurean Experience tour. Led by friendly, knowledgeable and informative hosts, visitors will be able to blend their own wine on Penfold’s ‘Make Your Own Blend’ Tour, take in the stunning views from Mengler Hill Lookout, and enjoy a regional cheese platter showcasing award-winning produce from the Barossa Valley Cheese Company. The tour also includes a visit to Angas Park Fruits, Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop, a three-course lunch at Kaesler Restaurant, and award-winning winery experiences, including Peter Lehmann Wines, Kaesler and Two-Hand Wines. This private tour catering for two to six guests allows visitors the chance to discover a wide variety of ‘Barossan’ experiences.

CHARDONNAY LODGE
Chardonnay Lodge’s fantastic new menu has been inspired by Executive Chef Richard Moretti’s love of spices from around the world. The menu features local ingredients enhanced with flavour’s and spices from Asia, Australia, the Southern United States and India. Entrées include the Penola Springs Trout Crepe topped with champagne cream sauce and Penola Springs trout caviar, The Poplars Tasting Plate featuring Apostle Whey’s brie and Eastern spiced Lamb balls with chickpea salad and harissa vinaigrette dressing. Main fare choices include Kangaroo Fillet seared and served with native lemon myrtle linguini, wilted spinach and a chilli quandong glaze, Terra Rossa sirloin steak on a potato galette with roasted tomatoes, onion rings and bourbon glaze, and Sumac and Cornmeal encrusted chicken breast on steamed rice with carrot and lemongrass reduction. Chardonnay Lodge is open for dinner seven days a week from 6.30pm.

CAFE MINELO
New floating dining establishment, Café Minelo, was launched in Murray Bridge last month. The café has been in development over the past few months and is now ready to join the café scene of Murray Bridge. Moored right on the riverbanks at Sturt Reserve, Café Minelo is a welcome addition to the on river dining experiences that the Murraylands has to offer. Offering a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, Café Minelo is the perfect location to help you unwind as you experience the beauty of the Murray River. With a menu including regional produce from across South Australia there is sure to be something to tempt your taste buds. Café Minelo is located right on the banks of the Murray Riverat Sturt Reserve in Murray Bridge and will offer not only quality meals but also cruising options daily. Café Minelo will also be available for private functions.
