LOXTON LIGHTS
Until 31 December
Throughout December, the township of Loxton will come alive with a combination of activities, displays, and Christmas decorations as part of the Loxton Lights Up Festival. Hundreds of visitors will crowd the streets of Loxton to experience the delights of Santa’s Walk, Christmas Wonderland and other lighted displays throughout the township. Entertainment will include Carols by Candlelight, a singing Christmas tree and the 'Little Town' Christmas Production. Don’t miss this much-loved Riverland event.

ART AT THE HART
1-2 December
Set along the waterfront promenade on the Port River, Art at the Hart is a free market style event that allows South Australia's leading artists and designers to display and sell their creative merchandise. Take the opportunity to wander through an outdoor gallery and pick up a unique Christmas gift. Madame Tong and Nautical Norm will delight and entertain the children.

QUIKSILVER AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
1-9 December
A major event in the surfing calendar, this competition sees 200 state qualifiers vying for four Australian Championships titles along the Victor Harbor coast. Winners and finalists are selected into the Team Australia squad to represent their country in France 2008. Organisers will be hosting state rivalry events and a public opening ceremony at Warland Reserve in front of the Crown Hotel with a parade of entrants.

CHRISTMAS PROMS
7-8 December
It's already beginning to feel a lot like Christmas...which means it is once again time for the annual Adelaide Festival Centre Christmas Proms, this year starring Rachael Beck and Andy Seymour, with the Adelaide Art Orchestra and Adelaide Vocal Project. Come and get into the Christmas spirit with all of your favourite carols, including Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Silent Night, masterworks from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite and many more.

LIFEPLAN SYMPHONY IN THE SERENGETI
8 December
Go on a musical safari as the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra performs in the stunning surrounds of Monarto Zoo. Arrive early, and you’ll be able to spend the afternoon enjoying a range of activities and relaxing over a picnic with your friends and family. As the sun sets, the ASO will present an entertaining evening concert of popular classics. Food and wine will also be available at the venue, but you’re welcome to bring your own.

LIGHTS OF LOBETHAL
9-31 December
Every December since the mid 1940s, the residents of Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills have been “lighting up” their homes and spreading festive cheer to all who visit. Today more than 90 per cent of the town takes part, with homes, businesses, gardens and streets decorated with thousands of dazzling Christmas lights. There’s also a living nativity, a Christmas pageant, carols and a market.

CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHTR
16 December
King William Street, Adelaide
This is a night of Christmas magic, when Adelaide’s families gather in Elder Park to light a candle and sing along to a program of favourite carols. The concert will feature an amalgamated Adelaide choir and band, as well as TV personalities and celebrities performing songs. Father Christmas will put in a special appearance, and the big finale will be a spectacular fireworks display. Carols by Candlelight is the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit and treat the kids to a fun night out.

Enjoy watching tennis superstars? Then don't miss this unique tennis event, featuring two thrilling matches simultaneously in the same arena. As the summer heat soars, the stars will go head to head in this important lead-up to the Australian Open tournament. Players in 2008 will include one of the ATP circuit's most exciting players – Frenchman Richard Gasquet. But the crowd is sure to save its loudest cheers for hometown hero and former world number one, Lleyton Hewitt.
