For the first time in 2008, cycling fans will have more chances to cheer on the world's best cyclists as the event is expanded to include two weekends of elite cycling action. Participants in the Mutual Community Challenge Tour on Friday 25 January 2008 can pedal the same 134-kilometre route between Mannum and Strathalbyn as the world's elite cyclists in Stage 4 of the Tour Down Under. LIGHTS OF LOBETHAL 9-31 December Every December since the mid 1940s, the residents of Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills have been “lighting up” their homes and spreading festive cheer to all who visit. The title of the exhibition comes from a suggestion by senior artist, Iwana Ken. "Tjulpun-Tjulpunpa" is a Pitjantjatjara term that refers to all the different wildflowers that flourish in the spring. Anangu artists from Kaltjiti Arts have been inspired and invigorated after trips out bush to paint lively cultural landscapes, which inspire, reconnect and energise everyone.
