RIVERLAND HARVEST FESTIVAL AND GREAT GRAPE STOMP
4 April 2008
It's that time of the year again - the grapes are off the vines, the vintage has begun, it's time for the Harvest Festival, which promises to be a feast of fun, food and entertainment for the whole family. The grape harvest will be celebrated in authentic style with the evening's main event, The Great Grape Stomp. The action gets fast, furious and well, sticky as teams race to fill a bottle of juice from their barrel of grapes in the tradition (barefoot) manner. Teams of all ages are invited to stomp, with prize money on offer in the Senior Stomp and Junior Stomps.

INTERNATIONAL RUGBY SEVENS ADELAIDE
5-6 April 2008
Catch the action of international rugby in Adelaide in 2008 with the world's fastest players competing during two action packed days. Grab your mates and join in the fun at Adelaide Oval. Adelaide is one of only eight cities around the world to host the international 16-team tournament for the next five years. Make sure you're there!

LAURA FOLK FAIR
5-6 April 2008

Come to the Laura Folk Fair, an annual two-day festival held in the township of Laura. The main road is closed off from all vehicular traffic and becomes a large mall lined with art, craft, hobby and food stalls. See lead lighting, pottery, fabric crafts of many types including patchwork, leather products including whip making, rustic crafts, clothing and many more. There will be non-stop entertainment for the whole family across three stages, as well as a twilight outdoor bush dance and fireworks (weather permitting) on the Saturday evening. Fun competitions on Sunday include the great Golden North Ice-cream Eating Competition, which is open to juniors and seniors, and the Digby Carter Whip Cracking Competition.

O'CONNELL STREET FOOD AND WINE AFFAIR

For the 11th consecutive year, the O’Connell St Food & Wine Affair held in Wellington Square on Sunday 6 April. The event is well known for showcasing the very best of food and wine on offer in North Adelaide. Entertainment this year includes Flat on your Bacharach, Cabaret Cabernet and SaborLatino. COONAWARRA AFTER DARK
11-12 April 2008
Come to Coonawarra during the grape harvest, to see, hear, touch, celebrate and learn about all the hard work and passion that goes into making great wines. Cellar doors in the region will offer a host of events 'After Dark' to inspire all ages of the family. DiGiorgio Family Wines will once again hold their well-known grape stomping competition with the winning team competing for $1,000 for charity, sporting organisation or community group of their choice.

TASTES OF THE OUTBACK

The nine-day Tastes of the Outback Festival invites visitors to delight their senses with true Outback entertainment, stunning scenery and tantalising flavours. A highlight on the South Australian calendar, Tastes of the Outback is a roving regional food and wine feast with a difference. Country music enthusiasts will be delighted with appearances by Australian music icons Lee Kernaghan and Troy Cassar-Daley, there's jazz in the woolshed, a short film festival, the soaring melodies and infectious rhythms of world-music and a sustainable desert-living field day - and that's just a taste of what's on offer
