HOWLING DOG TAVERN
The Howling Dog Tavern at Corny Point is open Thursday to Sunday from 11am - 10pm, and is becoming increasingly well known for local seafood, in particular the delicious Whole Salt and Pepper Squid. The Howling Dog Tavern prides itself on its beautiful food, and for being a great place to enjoy a drink at the bottom end of the Yorke Peninsula. The pub was named as a result of a coincidence between today’s ‘howling dogs of Corny Point’ and those of yesteryear, as commented on by explorer Captain Matthew Flinders in his journal entry from 18 March 1802. Ask the publican to tell you the story when you visit.
